OPC Cement & Clinker
Standard Marconi operates several quotas for cement and clinker from leading producers in the UAE, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey and others.
Ordinary Portland Cement
This non-combustible, non-explosive cement variant has been into use since long by most builders as the binder for host of applications including concrete, mortars, renders and grouts.
Uses of OPC: Ordinary Portland cement has wide usage in binders being a strong composition and can be used in several binders including mortars, renders, grouts and even concrete.
Physical Properties: OPC is grey in color and does not have any odor.
Specific Gravity: 3.1 to 3.2
Solubility in Water: Insoluble, This material hardens when mixed with water.
Fire & Explosion Hazard Information: Though any dangers with regard to fire and explosion from OPC are not known but fire fighters should wear self contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear to keep them secure.
Ordinary Portland Cement Clinker
Medium to long kernels of rice from which only the hull has been removed. The light brown color is caused by the presence of bran layers.
Uses of Cement Clinker: Clinker is the first stage in making cement. Clinker is ground (usually with the addition of a little calcium sulfate) to become Portland cement.
Specification: The clinker specification and test certificate can be provided upon request.
In total, we are able to offer the following supply, most of which is fulfilled to our customers through annual contract agreements:
Bulk Cement Up to 95,000 MT per month or 1,140,000 MT Annually.
Bagged Cement Up to 75,000 MT per month or 900,000 MT Annually.
Clinker Up to 140,000 MT per month or 1,680,000 MT Annually.
All Cement supplies, whether in bulk or bagged, fully conform to international standards and are produced according to ORDINARY PORTLAND CEMENT (OPC) BS EN 197-1:2000 CEM-1 42.5N/R specifications. Also, our clinker supplies are all ORDINARY PORTLAND CLINKER suitable to produce Cement conforming with BS EN 197-1:2000 CEM-1 42.5N/R.
To further support our customers in the management of their logistics issues, Standard Marconi utilizes ships and vessels owned by its Group holding in various markets to deliver products on time and within cost objectives. These vessels are dedicated to the transport and discharging of cement and cement products.
